The basic package contains the design, development and setup of an attractive, informative user-friendly and helpful website for the Town Council:

• Design is the process where, based upon their needs and requirements, our professional designers produce 3 attractive, personalised designs from which to choose a council website image (this can be one of the 3 designs, or a mix-and-match of components from each to arrive at the perfect image).
• Development is where we turn the design into the web-pages that will form the structure of the site. We ensure that the site works, is cross-browser compatible, meets accessibility guidelines and is search-engine-friendly.
• Setup is when, once the Council are happy with the site, we put it up onto our servers ready for the website content to be entered (or we can do it on their behalf, although there may be an additional charge). If the Town Council has a domain (.gov.uk) it will be pointed at our servers (if not, we can register one - see "Domain Registration", below). Then the site can be made 'live' and be publicised.

Features included as standard:

• Personalised, attractive designs to choose from
• The build and setup of the website, together with our online page and menu manager, by using which you can add/update content on the site
• Email accounts of any type (mailbox, forwarders or mailing lists)
• No limit to the number of website pages which can be created for the site

Please note that this council package does not include domain registration (e.g. .gov.uk or .org.uk) although that can be provided if the council doesn't already have a website (please refer to "Domain Registration", below for more details).

We have a number of optional council-related modules which can be added to the site (ongoing costs are per annum, after the first year):

• ONGOING COSTS FROM £ 195

  The annual on-going maintenance cost for the basic council package (after year 1) will be £195 (approx. £15 a month), unless any of the optional extras are chosen:

  • Primarily, this contributes to our hosting of the website and the services the Town council is provided with, along with the usage of our council website management tool (website content management system)
  • Secondly, it includes basic support cover for any minor page for fixing of glitches or bugs, or being a technical support point of contact.  Higher levels of support can be provided if required (please contact us with any specific requirements)

  Additional website modules or non-standard website features may incur additional ongoing costs.

• DOMAIN REGISTRATION (.GOV.UK) £ 99 for 2 years
  

  Please note that the basic package above does not include domain registration (.gov.uk). If a council does not have a domain set up yet, the registration of a .gov.uk domain costs £99 (for two years), with an ongoing cost of £49 per year after that.  Other domains can be registered (e.g. .org.uk at a much cheaper rate)

• CONTENT MANAGEMENT £ CALL (VOLUME DEPENDANT)
  

  If a Town Council wishes us to manage the content of their website (undertake updates and insert content/information on their behalf), we can provide quotes based upon the size of their site and requirements.

• RELATED SERVICES FOR TOWN COUNCILS £ CALL

  We are able to offer other, personalised, high quality professional design and technical services at competitive rates. These include: business cards, stationary, booklets, magazines, banners and other design services. Contact us with details of your requirements and we’ll get one of our team to provide a quote.

• LOCAL BUSINESS LISTINGS £ FREE

  Through a partnership with YourShopWindow, we're able to offer a convenient solution which allows local businesses, groups and charities in the area to be listed on the council website. Businesses/Groups in the area would simply need to register and create a profile on on YourShopWindow. A referral scheme is offered by which the council can benefit from the local business registrations it passes onto YourShopWindow.
